Powerful Pomegranate Green Smoothie

For the first Secret Recipe Club assignment of the year, I was given Laura's blog A Healthy Jalapeno.

I had fun going through this very interesting, full-of - life blog, reading Laura's experiences while browsing through healthy recipes. Most of her recipes were very easy to make, great combinations, colourful and healthy. What more can one ask for?

Finally I chose this simple Powerful Pomegranate Smoothie since I'm always looking for different combinations for smoothies. Ideal for breakfast or even between meals to get a powerful fix. It couldn't get better when I can harvest fresh organic spinach from my own space!!

If you haven't begun growing your own, begin with spinach and you will never want to eat the store bought ones again.

Powerful Pomegranate Green Smoothie
Ingredients-
1/2 cup orange juice
1 pear
1 cup pomegranate seeds
1 frozen banana
1 cup organic spinach

Method-
Remove stem and seeds from the pear and dice.
Place all the ingredients into a blender, pulse till you get a smooth consistency.

Mango Salsa

This is the season for mangoes - the king of fruits! At the supermarket I was amazed at the varieties we have here. Raspuri, totapuri, alphonso, badami, beganpalli... and so many more. Which one is your favourite?
I've used Beganpalli for this salsa. Simply loved the combination of flavours! So simple to prepare, I wish my kids would eat!
