Chicken in Spinach Cream Sauce

Like most kids, mine are very fond of chicken, but will wince at spinach. So here's something where they need to go through the spinach to get to the chicken! Some trick there!
I served this dish with red rice that they love to eat.

Chicken in Spinach Cream Sauce
Ingredients
250gms chicken breasts

Marinade
ginger paste
garlic powder
lemon juice
salt to taste

For Sauce
1cup spinach puree
1 large ripe tomato
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp garam masala
2 tbs fresh cream
Olive oil
Preparation-

  • Cube the chicken and marinade for an hour.
  • Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the chicken.
  • In the meantime chop the tomato, mince the garlic and chop fine the onion.
  • When the chicken is done, place the pieces aside and in the same pan saute the onion and garlic.
  • Add the tomato. When the tomato is half done add the spinach puree and cook.
  • Add the garam masala and salt to taste.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well.
  • When the mixture is bubbling add the fresh cream and stir well. Take off the heat.
  • Serve hot with rice or roti.
