Growing your own food gets more rewarding when you can barter or share your harvests! I had the pleasure of receiving around 2 dozens of Passionfruit from an equally passionate organic gardener friend. Though I have planted Passionfruit as well, the plant has not fruited yet. While I wait patiently for the fruits of my labour, I was thrilled to enjoy this generous bounty.
Since I've enjoyed the juice many times, I thought I'd experiment with the addition of some homegrown mint. It proved to be the right pick for that added punch.
Ingredients
Pulp of 2 Passionfruit
6-8 mint leaves
Sugar to taste
Water
Preparation
- Combine the pulp, sugar, mint leaves. Add half a cup of water and dissolve the sugar.
- Blend the ingredients. Avoid blending for too long, else the seeds breakdown to grit.
- Strain the mixture.
- Add water and sugar according to taste.
- Serve chill.
- Enjoy!
looks fabulous lovely flavour to the passionfruit from the mint
